I am reading MYTHOLOGY, by Edith Hamilton, these days.
It is a basic intro to Greek myth basically: a classical University text.
It's a great intro, and, avail. in paperback formless.
MYTHOLOGY is mentioned in the Bibliography for the DDG, and, at least one AD&D article in Dragon magazine.
