How would you define a "small magic item".
1# or less?

Something like a ring I'd guess. Could fit in the palm of your hand. It mentions indigestible, but what's indigestible to a Behir?
It does mention non-magical gems & jewelry so I'd assume anything that's jewelry would be o.k. rings, crowns, talismans, amulets, ioun stones.

With regards to the digestive system of a behir, I do not have access to an Ecology of the Behir article right now, but I would guess that it is stronger than that of a human.
In a game sense, I think I would quickly rule: "indigestible" = "anything metal or stone".
For small, I think I would go with "10 gp (1#)" 'weight', or less.

I agree.
Maybe anything smaller than a glove?
Cheers!

DJ, you are correct here, BtB, as *size* and *encumbrance* are 2 different things.
"Fits in your glove" is a great rule of thumb for tabletop play.
