I'm opening up this thread so that people can let me know what they would like to see happen on the 1eo site.
To review, I've worked on it for 8 years, and it will be another 6 until completion (I am doing 1 book per year, and then I will spend another 1 year integrating and polishing everything).
From there, I will try to get all of the 1e Dragon articles online in .html format. (Work has already begun on this).
Basically, the intent is to gather every single AD&D rule in one place: you can pick and choose and make your own configuration of rules from that, draw from 20 years of monsters/spells/magic items/deities for your adventures ... or ... anything you can imagine!
(Me, I am hoping towards a computer game based on the the full AD&D ruleset, and the rules from Dragon, but, that is just me.)
In any event, 1eo has been intended for user customization from day #1. It's your site, just as much as it is mine, as long as you're a hard-core 1e fan, man!
I think that a good analogy for the above concept would be the various "distros" (distributions) of the Linux operating system.
Anyway.... let me know, and I will see what I can do for you.
If I can't.... you or someone else might be able to make it happen within the context of your own "distro".
1eForever,
Pres
Ps.
People have brought 3 things to my attention.
1. Presentation
I am working on clearing out some of the "chaff" as I go along. Please note that 1eo is still in Beta: at present, my role is Function, over Form. That said, I spend HUGE amounts of time seeking out the very best fantasy art I can find for the site.
2. Spell Templates
Someone found these confusing. The present templates will remain for now, but, henceforth, I am just going with a cut-and-paste of the traditional spell statblocks.
3. Navigation
Yes, this can be improved. Until then, I would recommend bookmarking the main page, and setting the keyword to "1".
Thanks again for any comments/suggestions/feedback (whether positive or negative: sometimes, negative feedback helps!) ...
I read and respond to everything.
